Chao Races

BEGINNER RACES

            Level 1-Crab Pool--this stage is easy on level 10 on your Chao's swimming stat. Beating level 3 is the hardest, but the stage is still overall pathetic. The prize for beating this level is the shovel for your Chao. You need the shovel to plant a seed. See "Tree Seeds and Fruits" for more details.

            Level 2-Stump Valley--this stage is easy on level 10 on your Chao's flying and running stats, and maybe level 8 on power, swim and stamina. Beating level 3 is the hardest, but the stage is still overall pathetic. The prize for beating this level is the watering can for your Chao. You need the watering can to plant a seed. See "Tree Seeds and Fruits" for more details.

            Level 3-Mushroom Forest--this stage is easy on level 10 on your Chao's running and stamina stats. Beating level 3 is the hardest, but the stage is still overall pathetic. The prize for beating this level is the rattle for your Chao.

           Level 4-Block Canyon--this stage is a bit tougher than the others because there is this piece of junk red Chao that is extremely good. Make sure your Chao's power and stamina stats are on level 12-15. The prize for beating this level is the toy car for your Chao.

JEWEL RACES

            Level 1-Aquamarine Race--this swimming Jewel Race is quite a challenge, and the Aqua Chao they have there are so cool! First off, make sure your Chao's swimming, flying and stamina stats are at level 50 or higher on each. The prizes for your Chao are the Sonic Doll, and the Aquamarine Badge.

            Level 2-Topaz Race--this flying Jewel Race is quite a challenge and the NiGHTS Chao they have are so cool! First off, make sure your Chao's swimming, flying and stamina stats are at level 45-50. The prizes for your Chao are the Broom, and the Topaz Badge.

            Level 3-Peridot Race--this running Jewel Race is quite a challenge, and the Sonic Chao they have are so cool! First off, make sure your Chao's running, power and stamina stats are at level 50 or higher. The prizes for your Chao are the Book, and the Peridot Badge.

           Level 4-Garnet Race--this wall-climbing Jewel Race is quite a challenge, and the Power Chao they have are so cool! First off, make sure your Chao's running, power and stamina stats are at level 50 or higher. The prizes for your Chao are the Pogo Stick and the Garnet Badge.

           Last Level 1-Onyx Race--this is one of the hardest races, and the Chao aren't so cool anymore. They are only tough. All of your Chao's stats should be no less than level 57-60 each, and your Chao should've been to Kindergarten by now. Make sure they learned each ability in Kindergarten. See "Chao Kindergarten" section for more information on things Chao can learn. The prizes for your Chao are the Coloring Book and the Onyx Badge.

           Last Level 2-Diamond Race--this race is exactly like the Onyx Races, only the Chao are faster, and the course is a bit longer. All of your Chao's stats should be no less than level 60. The prizes for your Chao are the Bubbles and Bubble Wand, and the Diamond Race Badge.

CHALLENGE RACES

             Level 1-The Strong Gold and Silver Rivals!--this level is a real pushover if your Chao's stats are all on level 25 or higher.

             Level 2-He Returns--this grey moron is easy, and the course is the same as the Gold and Silver course. All the other Chao are easy, but the grey freak is your main focus. Make sure your Chao's stats are all on level 30-35 to beat him.

             Level 3-I'm Trying!--what the heck? The Chao you're about to battle are Omochao! These are real push-overs. You don't even need to level up your Chao. As soon as you beat the grey freak, you should beat the Omochao easy.

             Level 4-Small Animal Challenge--what the heck? (Another one) Now, you have to battle the small animals! This is the hardest level yet. Your Chao's stats should be no less than level 42-45 each. The prize for beating this level is the ball for the Chao Garden.

             Congratulations! You've beaten the first row of Challenge Races! Two more rows to go!

             Level 5-Cockroach Chao Group--well, they're cool, but they are hard. Make sure your Chao's stats are on level 50 or higher on each, and these cockroaches should be kaput.

             Level 6-Oh my Egg!--wow! How'd they get the whole egg on themselves? Well, whatever the reason, they are real pushovers. After you beat the cockroaches, you can beat these eggheads no problemo!

             Level 7-Be Afraid! Skeleton Group--these skullheads are as easy as the eggheads! So, you don't need to "Be Afraid".

             Level 8-Be Afraid! Pumpkin Group--man, these are the hardest ones yet. Still, you only need to level up your Chao by 5 on each stat, so try to be on level 55 or higher. The prize for beating this level is the box for the Chao Garden. Take that pumpkinheads!

             Congratulations! You've beaten the second row of Challenge Races! WARNING--THE LAST ROW CHAO ARE EXTREMELY HARD! DON'T TRY THEM UNTIL YOU THINK YOUR CHAO IS READY!!!

             Last Level 1-Be Afraid! Ghost Group--man, these are the hardest ones yet. Still, you only need to level up your Chao by 5 on each stat, so try to be on level 60 or higher. Take that you ghosts! Poltergiest fire!

             Last Level 2-He Strikes Back--oh no! Remember the grey moron?!? He's back! Well, this level really is a little harder. Make suree your Chao's stats are on level 65, and he'll be kaput forever! Yay!

             Last Level 3-Kids Chao Ranger!--wow! These are the coolest Chao I've seen in a while. Well, they really don't represent that much of a challenge. Make sure your Chao are on level 70 or higher, and you'll beat these guys easy.

             WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! THE NEXT RIVAL IS SUPER HARD!

             Last Level-The Ultimate Chao Rival!--now this is the coolest Chao ever! But, he's also the fastest racer, climber, swimmer and flyer in the whole game. Make sure your Chao's stats are on level 80 each, and you've won this battle. Note-make sure your Chao is smart. The prize for beating this level is the television for the Chao Garden. Also, the Chao that wins this race also gets a Challenge Race Medal.

HERO RACES

             Level 1-Baby Devil--well, this level is a pushover. Cute babies...not! THEY'RE UGLY! Well, if your Chao's stats are on level 20-25, you'll beat them easy.

             Level 2-Child Devil--wow! These Chao are really cool! I saw a Shadow Chao! Well, besides being cool, they are hard. Make sure your Chao's stats are on level 35-40 each, and you should win. The prize for beating this level is the ball for the Hero Garden.

             Level 3-Death Troops--these Chao are skullheaded morons. But they are hard. They run so fast! Well, running should stand out more than all the others. Make sure your Chao's stats are on level 50 each, and for running, I suggest level 55.

           WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! THE NEXT RIVAL IS SUPER HARD!

             Last Level-Devil Versus Angel--this is one of the coolest Chao ever! It's a Dark Chaos Chao! Well, he's the hardest one here. I beat him with my Chao's stats on level 65, but that's because mine is a Chaos Chao. Angel. Your Chao should be on level 70, just to be safe. The prize for beating this stage is the rocking horse for the Hero Garden. Also, the Chao that won these races gets the Hero Race Medal.

DARK RACES

      Baby Angel--this is about as easy as it gets. Make sure your Chao is on level 20 on each stat, and you'll beat these guys easy. Piece o' cake!

      Angels--these Chao are extremely cool, but are a little bit hard. Make sure your Chao is on level 30-40 on each stat, and you'll do fine. The prize for beating this level is the ball for the Dark Garden.

      Flying Angel--as the name says, you should have a Chao that can fly good. It's fly and swim should be on level 50, while run, power and stamina should be on level 42-47.

      Angel vs Devil--wow! This Chao is really cool! I mean, it's so cool...never mind. Just make sure your Chao is on level 60 or higher on each stat, and victory is yours! The prizes for beating this level is the radio for the Dark Garden, and the Dark Medal for your Chao.
